Nowadays, it seems like most people believe that to be loving, it means we have to agree or play along with whatever the current narrative is; however, the Bible sheds light on what true agape love is – it is being honest in a gentle, yet firm way. What I am sharing with you now is that kind of message. It isn’t what you want to hear. I didn’t want to hear it either. It is the truth. The reality is, that some of us are so damaged by the toxic soup that we’ve been living in, that the symptoms of electrosensitivity are at fever pitch. Others may be ill, but don’t know why, or believe it is purely genetic, and there is nothing they can do about it. Still others may not yet be showing signs of illness, but I assure you, the levels of electromagnetic radiation that most of us encounter in a single day FAR surpasses true safe limits.

I am blessed to have a friend that was willing to tell me the hard truth. This special lady is my physician and also one of my dearest friends. Dr. Kathy Veon practices in Lake Mary, FL, and is a wonderful resource and truly a trailblazer in the field of EMF (electromagnetic field) sensitivity. She wrote her Doctoral paper on this subject and has read thousands of pages of research papers on the biological effects of EMFs. She has been patient with me as I resisted the truth, and is always there with a helpful hand when I soften up enough to ask questions.
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails.”
Holy Bible, 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Little by little, and by noticing the signs of increased symptoms when near routers, WIFI and cell phones, I came to the conclusion that she was right all along.

Now what?
Well, where do I go with this next? Part of the reason why it is so difficult to accept a truth is because it means we now have to make a change. If we want to be authentic with ourselves and those around us, we have to live out the truth. My advice is to take things slowly if you feel resistant, and begin with one simple guideline: distance is your friend.
Distance is your friend
The closer you are to non-native EMFs, the worse it is. So, start to think or journal about what a typical day looks like for you. Do you wake up with your cell phone on your bedside table each morning? Do you carry your phone on or near your body (in your bra or pocket)? Start to bring awareness to how you live, and take note of how you feel when you have your phone near you for extended periods of time, versus when you don’t. Maybe the first step doesn’t have to be drastic. Maybe it is just taking stock.
If you’re ready to dive in and take the bull by the horns because you’re tired of feeling ill, by all means, do that! Just don’t go so crazy with it, that you end up reverting back to old ways because you’re overwhelmed by too much change too fast. Do what is sustainable in the long run, because healing takes time.

Get help
If you want one-on-one support from me, I offer support via health coaching. I can help you map out a plan and stand by you through the whole process. You can make an appointment directly on my calendar here. Each person’s environment and situation is different. The lifestyle shifts that you need to make may be different than mine, depending on your situation (how entrenched you are in the wireless stuff) and even your geographic location (like living in a condo with lots of smart meters all around you.) Every case is unique. I can help point out the big hot spots to start out with, and give you a few hacks to help you replace old habits with better ones. You decide the timeframe of implementation and how far you want to go with it.
Don’t go it alone. It is probable that many of your friends and family will struggle with the changes. As you read through this blog series, and discover some of the lifestyle and environmental changes I made in my household, you will start to see why. Thankfully, I have a supportive husband and family who are more than willing to do what was needed for me to feel well again, even if they didn’t fully understand. When you really love someone, things don’t matter.

This is why I share my story. I want to raise awareness about this, and provide community support for those suffering and trying to make sense of what is happening with their body. So, please head over to my new Facebook Group, Diary of an Electrosensitive! Thank you and God bless you!
Visit my EMF store!
Tame that flame! I have compiled a store full of my favorite products for decreasing inflammation, resources for learning more about grounding and EMFs, meters, EMF shielding products for phones, routers, SMART meters, faraday fabric and bags, etc.
I have also added some alternatives, that even though I am not currently using them, I would if I had to. Again, everyone has unique scenarios. For example, I had my SMART meter removed, but if that weren’t an option for me, I would use a shielding device. I hope this blog series has helped you! You are not alone, and there is always hope!
